SUPPLY PRO-RATE GUARANTEE

Supplies installed by Clear Copy carry a pro-rate guarantee.
Supplies if they prove defective will be replaced by Clear Copy under its pro-rate system.
The pro-rate on any supply item is only valid for the supplies life or for 15 MO. which ever is sooner.

Pro-Rate formula:
Supply life (as specified by the manufacturer) - Copies made/Supply life = % Credit.

Example: Drum (50,000 copies) - 5,000 (copies you made on copier) / 50,000 = 90%

Cost of defective supply x 90% = $$ off the cost of new supply.

Damage or contamination of any supply item is not covered.

This only covers the cost of supply item, depending on date and meter reading supplies were installed there may still be a charge (see current Service Call Price List).

PRO-RATE GUARANTEE (CARTRIDGES )------(for refilled cartridges see 'REFILLED CARTRIDGES' below)

Cartridges are a supply item and are covered by a Cartridge Pro-Rate guarantee.

It covers the following defects- Light areas on copy- Dark areas on copy- Black lines on copy- White lines on copy.

Clear Copy does not guaranty how many copies a particular cartridge will produce but states that the cartridge will match or surpass the manufacturers yield when reproducing a 7% original.

A defective cartridge must be returned in one month for any credit consideration.

If cartridge is in the GREEN AREA- 67% credit will be taken off price of replacement cartridge

If cartridge is in the YELLOW AREA- 33% credit will be taken off price of replacement cartridge.

If cartridge is in the RED AREA- 0% credit.

IF THERE IS NO METERING DEVICE 30 Day Pro-Rate is as follows:

Where the original cartridge cost = CC

Cost per day PD = CC/30 days. How many days you used the cartridge = DU. Amount used = PD x DU =U.

The amount credit off is C. THEREFORE: Replacement cartridge credit is. CC - U = C.

Note: Credit for this Pro-Rate guarantee is granted on date defective cartridge is received for inspection. We are not obligated to pick up defective cartridges. You must arrange to deliver them to us. Proof of purchase must accompany defective cartridge.

REFILLED CARTRIDGES-

Unlike the rebuilt cartridges above, refilled cartridges are guaranteed against mechanical defects and that they contain enough toner to produce normal amount of copies, other than that refilled cartridges are sold as is. Basically they should produce the same copies they had prior to refilling. Enclose a copy (run machine on a darker setting) with the cartridge you want refilled. If a cartridge has a defect (line or blank area) we will attempt to eliminate the problem using rebuilding material and techniques. Cartridges on hand.
